A message to my students and parents

For our spelling program this year we will be using spellingcity.com to practice and take our weekly tests. We will start with some review words and then some challenge words to see where we are before beginning work to master the 1000 most common words of the English language. The website can be used to practice and learn the words and a test will be given and monitored in class each week.

Students will have their spelling lists written in their planners for the week that list will be tested. The students test in small groups on different days of the week and once they have taken the test for the current week they should begin studying the list for the next week. In this way they will have an entire week to study for each upcoming test.
