Students Using Vocabulary and SpellingCity
If you are a student, you do not need to log in or have an account in order to use Vocabulary and SpellingCity, unless your teacher gave you a username and password. Only students of premium members need to log in.
How Students get started!

- You can start using Vocabulary and SpellingCity immediately by typing in a set of words on the homepage.
- You can also play a game with your words or have your words taught to you.
- You can search for a teacher's or parent's list on the "Find A List" page.
- You can play a game with the lists on the "More Games" page or the "Resources page".
To take a test, play a game, or have your words taught to you from the homepage:
- Enter your words in the numbered spaces into the notepad titled "Start Here."
If you need to add more words, click "Add 1, 5 or 10 words."
You can also enter your words all at once by batch entry.
- Click the "Test Me" button to be tested on your words.
- Click the "Teach Me" button to have your words taught to you.
- Click the "Play A Game" button to play a number of different games with your words.
How to find a list created by your teacher or parent
- Click on the "Find A List" button.
- Select a "Search by" choice:
- Teacher - teacher's first name or last name or first and last name
- Parent - parent's first name or last name or first and last name
- Username - teacher's or parent's username
- List Name - the exact list name that your teacher or parent has created
- You can also find a list by clicking on your state or country.
- If your teacher gave you a username and password, your class signed up for the Premium Membership and need to log in the top left hand corner, under students.

How to play a game with a list?
- Click the "Play A Game" link or button after you click on the list name.
- You can also play a game from a teacher's or parent's list page by clicking the "Games" link once you have found your list.
- Choose a game by clicking on the game name or the game icon.
- To print a game, click the "Click to Print" link under the "Printable" column.
How to play a game with a list on the Resources page?
- Go to the Resources page.
- Click on a Resources page to see the lists associated with that page.
- In the list table, click the "Play" link under the game name column to play that specific game.
