SpellingCity.com continues to explode in popularity with over 100,000 teachers and parents registered and 2 million monthly visits.
Simplified Navigation: We now provide links on each page to return you to the most recent school, teacher, and list pages that you visited. This simplifies getting back to your lists.
New Resources Section: A new resources menu on the top of the page is your gateway to popular spelling lists and to articles about the importance of spelling, SpellingCity news, and other recommended resources. They now include user hints and other helpful information.
Updated School Home Pages: The school home pages are the first of the major facelifts for SpellingCity this spring.
Game Upgrades:We\'ve added new features to the Audio Word Match game. Give the new version a try. It will look great when you play it in full screen mode on your projection screens. The full screen feature was also added to Sentence UnScramble, MatchIt, and Alphabetize.
All the state and state capital sentences have been revised so that they work not just in the spelling tests but in the games. The MatchIt game with the states list can now be used to help students memorize this information.
Troubleshooting: Some users have experienced problems due to our upgrades. If the menus don\'t layout properly, you can press on \"control\" and \"F5\" which should resolve all problems by fully refreshing the page. If you can\'t hear the sounds on our TestMe, it\'s due to a setting on your network which is easily reset by your IT department. If you are having problems with SpellingCity.com, try our help page or ask us for help via the contact us page. Let us surprise you with our quality responses.
Got an Opinion? We would like to hear more from our users about how you are using SpellingCity and what features you would like added next. For instance, we are considering closer integration with SmartBoard and Promothean ActivBoard. Could anyone provide guidance as to what you would like to see developed in this area? We are also considering an extension of our methodology into vocabulary and math. Your thoughts?
Teachers and Parents Can Easily Make Printables: We would like to tell you about Downhill Publishing\'s award-winning products for teachers and parents so you can at your desk create printables for handwriting worksheets, for phonics, for telling time, and for math. Students love these worksheets that you can easily create on your own. SpellingCity.com has arranged for a discount so if use their products, put SpellingCity as a promotional code. Their software, while not widely known, is really useful to teachers and parents; we became aware of it when we built the online worksheets in SpellingCity.com.
