Our words this week center around the study of our next social studies person: the former First Lady Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. Roosevelt and First Lady are not recognized by Spelling City, so they will only appear on your class spelling list. You may notice that the spelling of "First Lady" is capitalized when used as part of her formal title, but is lower case when referring to the position of first lady, but not a particular person. We will learn it this week as a part of her formal title, and it will therefore be capitalized. We also wanted to address the spelling error last week where undescribable was supposed to be indescribable. We also found that "likeable" can have two spellings.

The Third Grade Teachers
