How to Clear Your Cookies and Cache
To clear your browser's cookies and cache, please follow the instructions that match your browser's version. Both the "Cookie" and file caches must be cleared.
Please Note: If you are having cache issues in a computer lab or are accessing SpellingCity from a school network you may not be able to clear your cache on your own. School networks have different settings. I f you have attempted to clear your cache and your problem persists, then you may need to contact the IT department or computer lab at your school. Explain that you were instructed to clear your computer’s cache by SpellingCity support and are unable to. SpellingCity must be listed as a safe site and must be listed as a regularly cached site, due to the way it is programmed.

Internet Explorer 6.x (Windows)
- Click Tools->Internet Options
- Select the "General Tab"
- Click on "Delete Cookies" and confirm
- To also clear your cache, click on "Delete Files" and confirm
- Click "OK"

Internet Explorer 7.x and 8.x (Windows)
- Click Tools->Internet Options (if you don't see a menu, click on Alt-T)
- Select the "General Tab"
- Click the "Delete..." button in the "Browsing History" section
- Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click the 'Delete files...' button. Then click 'Yes'
- Next to "Cookies", click the 'Delete cookies...' button. Then click 'Yes'

Firefox 1.5 / 2.x / 3.x (any operating system)
- Click on Tools->Options
- Select the "Privacy Tab"
- Click on "Settings" in the "Private Data" section
- Check off "Cookies"
- To also clear your cache, check off "Cache"
- Click "OK"
- Click on "Clear Now"
- Click "OK"

Firefox 3.x (newer version - any operating system)
- Click on Tools->Clear Recent History
- Click the arrow button next to 'Details' to expand box
- Check only 'Cookies' and 'Cache'
- Click on "Clear Now"
- Click "OK

- Click on Edit->Empty Cache and Confirm

- Click on Safari menu and select "Empty Cache" and confirm
