Does anybody have a letter that they gave parents at the beginning of the year? I just found this site, and it's great! I'm trying to put together a letter for my class when we start back in August. Thanks!

What kind of letter are you talking about? A general back-to-school letter for parents or a letter about SpellingCity?

A letter that I can give parents about Spelling City- information, how to use, etc.

I agree. I don't know of any teachers who have used this for testing(though I can't wait to), so most parents probably don't know what it is all about. It would be a good way to get more word out about the site.

We think this is a good idea, too. Anything that can save teachers time is a good thing, in our eyes.

We are in the process of writing a letter for teachers to be able to print out and send home with children at the beginning of the year, or when they start using SpellingCity.

This letter is aimed at parents and caregivers who may not know about Spelling City. It gives instructions for how to use the site, and a few tips on how to use SpellingCity to help their kids prepare for that Friday Spelling Test.

We will put it on the site for you to print out.
We will be eager to know what you think. Look for it in a few days.

Hi Teachers!

We have created a letter saved in PDF format for you to print out and send home with your students. It explains Spelling City to new parents, and offers some tips for how to help their children use it in coordination with you.

You will find it on the Teachers page, with a link to it from the "Cool New Features" section on the home page.

Don't forget to fill in your name as it will be used in your SpellingCity account, so your students and parents can find your lists.
