Sentences that you think should be rewritten. Start by telling us the word. Then, if you could suggest a new sentence, we would appreciate it. The guidelines for sentences are:
- the least number of syllables possible (to keep the load times short)
- the most context to suggest meaning
- nothing offensive or inappropriate for our many audiences
- Non-offensive humor is OK. My favorite new sentence: "His aunt looked like his uncle".
Lists that you want to nominate for "List of the Month". This could be a list that you created or just a list that you found.
Words you think that we should add. We monitor each word that you type into SpellingCity. These words that you try are the source for new words that we are adding. We add about 500 words/month. So, if you've already tried the word, there is no need to email us. We do make some decisions about what sorts of words we can include since our resources are limited. For instance, for the moment, we have limited our list of cities to capital cities of countries or US state capitals. |
