We are going to be using the Words Their Way Spelling Program. I currently use Spelling City with a SMART Board. I would love to see an activity where kids can sort words according to any criteria.The words would come from their weekly spelling list posted here.

Each Words Their Way spelling list has 2-3 spelling patterns.

Kids sort the word according to spelling pattern. It would be so helpful to have a template that



_________ ____________ _______________had room at the top for teacher or student to write spelling rules.

Then all the words from the list in separate boxes so kids can sort the spelling word under the right spelling rule. This would also be helpful to teachers that don't use the program because most spelling is taught using spelling patterns.

The link below shows what the word sort looks like before the kids cut out the words to sort into spelling patterns. I would love to see the words in a spelling city already in sortable individual boxes. Does this make sense?
