TOPIC: Printable multiple choice spelling test

Printable multiple choice spelling test 3 years, 7 months ago #3446

My school has become very assessment based. My principal wants the students to be tested just like they will be tested on the state tests.

That means we are expected to give our spelling tests as multiple choice tests with 3 incorrect spellings and one correct spelling.

I would love for you to create a new feature that would take the spelling sentence and put a blank in the spot for the spelling word. Then give four possible spelling choices for that ONE word. (So basically it would be just like your "Which Word?" activity, but instead of four different words to choose from, there would be the one word spelled four different ways.)

Please consider this as a new feature. It would make my life soooooo much easier!!!!

Thank you for the suggestion. Many additions to SpellingCity have come about because of user input like yours! :)

Yep, at our school we're actually not allowed to test in the way that testing is done on SpellingCity. I used the testing here this year and go away with it, because as far as the 'Watchmen' know it's just some newfangled online technology.

I'm not sure I'll be able to do it again next year. They're expecting us to follow the National Testing procedure, so... it seems like i will have to design a new multiple choice test semi-regularly. They don't want us to do it every week; they would like to see us rotate through about 4 different assessment methods.

Last school year this was an option and it was great, but I can't seem to find it now. Help please.

Unfortunately, we have not offered a feature like this in the past. We always welcome suggestions and feedback and appreciate your continued support.

Thanks,

Please add this as an option! This format (multiple choice) is frequently used as a spelling accommodation for students with learning differences like dyslexia. Having this feature on Spelling City would allow them to be included with the rest of the students as we test each week.
