The object of MatchIt Sentences is to match the word that accurately fills in the blank of a corresponding sentence. MatchIt Sentences is excellent for building vocabulary skills. It also builds logic and reasoning skills by requiring students to find the best overall solution by using a process of elimination. MatchIt Sentences is available as an online activity or as a printable worksheet.
MatchIt Sentences Instructions: To play, click on the dots to match the sentences on the right with the words on the left that best complete them. When you are finished, click the Submit button. For longer lists, click the Next button to view the next set of words and sentences. When you have completed the game, click the Finish button.
Below are some lists for you to choose from to play the MatchIt Sentences game. You can also play MatchIt Sentences with your own list or use any of the lists available on our site. Premium Members can use their lists to play MatchIt Definitions as well! Free members can play MatchIt Definitions using any of the lists on the instructions page or in the Teacher Resources section.
