Recently Visited Pages (More Info)

After my son completes a spelling test, and clicks Check Me, the test disappears and says there was a problem loading the list. No final score, nothing. This has happened for the past few weeks. I have had him retake two spelling tests, only to have the very same thing happen. This is frustrating to say the least. Is this problem being fixed soon? We love SpellingCity and use it for practice and for taking spelling tests.

This sounds like an issue with your ISP or the speed of your processor. To make your computer run faster, be sure you only have one window open at a time. Also, make sure there are no programs running under other users' profiles.

I have a 2.26Ghz (which if you know computers is very fast) processor, and 4Gigs of RAM. The problem is NOT my computer. I have 7Mbps super high-speed fiber optic DSL (brand new this week, Qwest's new technology) and yet we still have this problem. We had 1.5Mbps DSL before too so it's not like we were slow. We have cleared cookies and restarted browsers. We have made sure only one tab is open. NOTHING WORKS. My kids click "Check Me" and their test goes POOF! If they don't let me look it over first I have no idea how they did because we can't go back to it. What's wrong with it? This started happening just a couple months ago or so. We have two computers and it happens on both of them.

That's odd. Three of my kids use SpellingCity every day and we haven't had that problem. I will see if others are reporting something similar and get back you you . . . hopefully with something you can try.

I have had this same problem. It is frustrating (and time consuming) to my students who are using it to make up a test - only to lose their work. So, before, they click on "check me," I have taught them to copy and paste the page into word - just in case an error pops up. When it does, I can print the word document and grade it. I have not purchased the upgrade. This error is one reason.

I took my students into our computer lab and the same thing happened. I had 22 very unhappy 13 year olds. I never was able to get the problem fixed.
